Hinault in few words.
Bernard Hinault was born on November 14, 1954 in Yffiniac (Côtes-d'Armor), is a French rider, professional from 1975 to 1986. Nicknamed "The Badger",
he dominated the international cycling sport between 1978 and 1986, winning 216 victories, including 144 off-criteriums.
He is the third rider to win the Tour de France five times (1978, 1979, 1981, 1982 and 1985), after Jacques Anquetil and Eddy Merckx. In eight participations, he won twenty-eight stages. He also won the Tour of Italy three times and the Tour of Spain twice. He also has a road world championship title on his list.
